About Me
I have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Indiana University with minors in Music and Math. During the course of my studies, I have tackled high level coursework ranging from Data Structures, Bioinformatics and Computational Theory. This framework led to over ten years of experience.
After graduating, I became a valued Help Desk technician at Highland Ventures LTD supporting hundreds of Marco's Pizza locations across the United States. I have resolved network outages, reported and patched software glitches and kept detailed notes in ticketing systems. My efforts have led to thousands of dollars being saved, cyber threats being stopped dead in their tracks, and ensured top-tier customer satisfaction.
Since 2022, I have been developing an at-home service environment to digitize family images, videos and DVDs. This passion project is constantly evolving to balance the needs of modern security practices, ease of usability, and automated maintenance. The environment has Active Directory for central user management, a secure VPN system, Docker containers for service separation, PiHole for internal DNS resolution, SSL certificates for secure access, and custom Bash scripts to run regular backups.
I have also played the cello for over 20 years. I currently volunteer as a cellist with the Elmhurst Symphony orchestra.
